Here is the way.

1.Create 2 connections with different names like "BSNL PORTAL" and "CELLONE PORTAL" with following settings.

Access Point Name-

Proxy Service Address-
"192.168.51.163"
Proxy Port-
"8080"
Security-
"NORMAL"

Rest fields to be as it is.

2.now open phone's default inbuilt browser and select any of the two settings created to access the web.you will now access only bsnl's home site.

3.now keep browser working and open another browser for full internet access like opera or netfront.in these browsers use the second setting created. make sure to use second setting this time. connect to open a page. you get an error message like "ACCESS DENIED" but you don't worry.

4.keep both browsers working in background and open connection manager. in connection manager just disconnect the connection that is not working like the second one you used to connect opera or net front.

5.again open opera or netfront from background and this time use the first connection that you are using to connect with default inbuilt browser to connect to internet.

Hello friends....speed of a system entirely depends upon ram(random acess memory).

This all we know...today i will tell u, how to avoid extra usage of ram,while the application is not in use....

There are many other tweeks and tricks to speed up your system,which i will write for u,if i get time.

1). Start any application, say Word. Open some large documents.

2). Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open Windows Task Manager and clickProcesses tab and sort the list in descending order on Mem Usage. You will notice that WINWORD.EXE will be somewhere at the top, using multiple MBs of memory.

3). Now switch to Word and simply minimize it. (Don't use theMinimize All Windows option of the task bar).

4). Now go back to the Windows Task Manager and see whereWINWORD.EXE is listed. Most probably you will not find it at the top. You will typically have to scroll to the bottom of the list to find Word. Now check out the amount of RAM it is using. Surprised? The memory utilization has reduced by a huge amount.

5). Minimize each application that you are currently not working on by clicking on the Minimize button & you can increase the amount of available RAM by a substantial margin. Depending upon the number and type of applications you use together, the difference can be as much as 50 percent of extra RAM.

Do your homework

Preparation always creates confidence. So the important thing to an interview is to be well prepared. In this you have to consider two things:

- You must prepare yourself practically for the interview.
- You have to gather information, which is useful during the interview.

Don't waste time

Don't waste time discussing things that are already indicated on your application. You have to discuss the points, which are not in resume but shows that you are eligible for the position. You have to discuss the strong and positive points about yourself.

Presentation

Keep in mind that you never get second chance to make your first impression. Presentation plays an important role while making first impression. Display confidence through your posture, dress, walk, energy, and eye contact. Shake hands firmly but only if a hand is offered to you first. Let the interviewer start the dialogue.

Be Yourself

Relax and be yourself. Be honest with every question. No need to lying about your background and/or skills. If you get caught then you will definitely out.

Listening

Getting a dedicated GPS device may not be the best idea anymore with a Google Maps update just around the corner. This update, version 5.0 for Google Android OS mobile phones, will address many of the current version's issues. The maps update is said to include 3D view, multitouch support and most importantly, offline mapping and navigation. Google CEO Eric Schmidt was seen showing off the new maps version, on a Motorola

tablet operating on Android 3.0 (codename Honeycomb) at a Google event.

Google claims the map will now offer better rendering and smoother navigation as Google has switched to vector graphics rather than the traditional map tiles. The new maps will include dynamic map drawing to improve rendering of scalable images especially for 3D buildings in major cities. This is made possible due to reworking of the map to use vector graphics, which are easier and faster to download and cache. Maps will be rendered not on the server but on the device, which will improve the transfer speed. The overall experience like panning, zooming and displaying 3D representations will happen faster as vector images are smaller in file size, which essentially means quicker to download. The map will have 3D views of buildings in over 100 cities across the world. The maps will also change its orientation automatically as you move, thanks to the new compass rotation support. There is also greater multi-touch support in the update so that users can tilt, rotate or pinch-to-zoom using two fingers.

The offline support is a major new addition that will not only store maps on the Android device's storage, but also store the most frequently searched or visited places, to speed up the whole navigation process. Google claims the new maps will download 100 times less data and with the local data cache, the data usage and the navigation should drop considerably. Google Maps will be able to reroute your navigation if you stray from the suggested course which won't require online data usage - an active data connection is required only when creating a new route.

Most of the Android devices with OS version 1.6 or above will be compatible with this new update but not all of them will support all features. Engadget has posted the list of supported devices which include Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola Droid, Droid X, Droid 2, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Evo 4G,Nexus S and T-Mobile G2.

We probably haven’t seen the rumored Samsung Nexus S officially, but this info cleary explains why Google chosed Samsung as the provider of their next Nexus phone. Gartner reported that Samsung Mobile has reached 3 million shipments of the Galaxy S smartphones put Samsung on the top spot of Android provider in US. As for Q3 2010, Samsung Mobile holds 32.1% share of Android

smatphone market in the US.

Google noted at least three highlights on the Android 2.3 including Enhancements for game development, Rich multimedia and New forms of communication. Along with the Android 2.3, Google also releasing updates to the SDK Tools to include new features like simplified debugs builds, integrated ProGuard support,

HierarchyViewer improvements and Preview of new UI Builder.

Enhancements for game development: To improve overall responsiveness, we’ve added a new concurrent garbage collector and optimized the platform’s overall event handling. We’ve also given developers native access to more parts of the system by exposing a broad set of native APIs. From native code, applications can now access input and sensor events, EGL/OpenGL ES, OpenSL ES, and assets, as well a new framework for managing lifecycle and windows. For precise motion processing, developers can use several new sensor types, including gyroscope.
Rich multimedia: To provide a great multimedia environment for games and other applications, we’ve added support for the new video formats VP8 and WebM, as well as support for AAC and AMR-wideband encoding. 5 Things Not To Say At A Job Interview

Interview success in today's job market is bit difficult. But if we prepare well it is not a Herculean task to attract the interviewers. The importance of creating a good impression within the allotted time is so important in an interview.

To make a good impression, it is important to know what the interviewer is look for and what they are testing you on.

According to Arindam Lahiri, Director- Academics, Career Launcher India, there are five things that should be avoided while attending an interview. Rude replies, bluffing, being defensive, unprepared responses and lack of interview strategy can end up portraying a

person?s personality in an unappealing manner.

Rude replies:-

Short, curt, arrogant or confrontational comments and replies are of course a strict no-no. You might want to pay attention to peer review about whether you come across as a genuinely friendly, amicable person or otherwise. Besides the obvious fact that the interviewer is all powerful when it comes to deciding your fate regarding the job, also keep in mind that they are not sitting there with the sole purpose of antagonizing you.

"The objective of putting you in a spot is usually to observe your behavior under pressure. Getting agitated easily would betray a lack of coping skills. On the other hand, dealing with such 'tests' with grace not only saves you trouble but also immediately scores you points," said Lahiri.

Bluffing:-

If you hesitate to admit something that you don't know, you will be forced to continue bluffing until you either get caught, or are forced to do what you were supposed to do in the first place - say "I don't know."

This statement can help you move away from topics you don't know much about and possibly salvage the interview by starting a new conversation thread. Of course, using this statement too often would lead to the interviewer assuming you don't know much.

Getting defensive:-

If you happened to make a mistake and were rightly corrected, then make sure that you gracefully admit your error and allow for the discussion to be carried on in a polite tone. Leave the 'offense is the best defence' theory outside the door along with excess ego that could seriously hamper your chances of success.

It is also necessary to clarify the interviewer as they can also be wrong about something. Maybe the mistake on their part is actually deliberate conducted, to test your knowledge or relevant social skills.

"In such a scenario, wherein you are absolutely sure of your view, stick to your guns, but (again) gracefully. Be polite but firm while presenting your case, and after a while, you might want to agree to disagree and free up the conversation to on to the next topic," informs Lahiri.

Unprepared responses:-

There are certain questions that are taken as granted to appear in any interview - questions related to your goals, about yourself, your reason for applying to the particular job, your interest in that company and so on.

To earn a favourable impression, the answer to these should be thoroughly prepared, clear and precise, leaving no ambiguity in the interviewer's mind.

"This does not mean you have to have a rigid 10-year plan for life or be aware of exactly what you are going to do when. Rather, your thinking process and general direction should be organized and clearly presented to the interviewers. Doing your homework early on can guarantee you a certain number of points even before you walk in the interview room," said Lahiri.

Lack of interview strategy:-

In a selection process, the interviewer is required to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the candidate. For this, he/she has to steer the conversation and investigate various aspects of the candidate's personality.

If instead, you learn how to steer the interview on your own, by giving open ended answers that lead to more question in those specific fields that interest you and in which you command decent amount of knowledge, you would make the interview a smoother process for the interviewer and a more rewarding one for yourself.

5 COMPUTER TOOLS YOU MUST KNOW

While you might have to shop around in the local market for hardware maintenance, for software PC maintenance we have some very good free utilities that you should check

out.

1. Cleaning tools:-

As is obvious from the name, these help you keep your system clean. What they clean your system of, depends on what you are using. There are registry cleaners, file system cleaners, secure file erasers and general purpose all in one solutions.

Most of these operate on the registry, optimizing it for performance. There are others which delete temporary files and dangling shortcuts. While the gain is not substantial, you might experience a snappier performance if you have not cleaned up your computer for a while.

As for the solutions available – CCleaner is well known in the field. It can clean browser tracks and cookies for almost all popular browsers out there, take care of unused icons, invalid shortcuts, DLLs and clean the MRU and recent document history as well.

Another popular choice is nCleaner. nCleaner offers similar functionality along with scan scheduling, a tweaks manager, services manager, a resource monitor and system advisor.

2. Unistaller:-

The Windows Control Panel provides functionality that lets you remove unwanted applications from your computer. It does a decent job for the occasional use that you might put it to. However, if you try out a number of software, or if you have experienced a stubborn software that refuses to uninstall, you should look into some of the 3rd party software managers and uninstallers.

Revo Uninstaller and IObit Uninstaller are the better ones out there. They offer features like letting you track the most storage hungry software or the ones you rarely use in addition to managing installed Windows updates. Such software usually features a force uninstall mode that lets you override settings or locked files that may be preventing an uninstaller from functioning.

3. Software Updater:-

Keeping software up to date is important. Not only for keeping up with the latest features but also for bug fixes and security updates. Many software these days have an update feature built in, web browsers being an excellent example. The software can talk to a server and let you know of important updates or newer versions.

For other software that do not have the feature built in or if you are more interested in a Linux-like centralized update mechanism, you can have a look at some of the previously covered software updaters. AppSnap, QWinApt or Techtracker should be a good place to start.

In addition there are other ways like subscribing to update feeds and some additional tools.

4. System Info Tools:-

While these do not help with maintenance in a direct way, these are certainly indispensable when you need to figure out what is going on with the computer. There are tools that let you view detailed information about your computer and then there are those which can let you monitor the performance of the computer and what is going on inside.

5. Trouble shooter/fixer:-

It is very difficult to offer a generalized solution for each and every problem your computer might run into. There can be network issues, security issues, slowdown due to cruft or under performing hardware, each asks for a different course of action.

That being said, there are certain issues that crop up frequently and are encountered by many users. Automated detection and fixes are available for many such problems.

Campuses get ready, tech hiring will be high this year

Early indicators suggest this year recruitments may touch a historic high, as top Indian tech majors, including TCS, Infosys and Wipro, will alone recruit close to one lakh engineers, if not more. Back-of-the-envelope analysis, coupled with stated recruitment plans of the IT biggies, shows that December-January will be action-packed at engineering college campuses, not to mention the impact that MNC biggies like Accenture and IBM will have.

N Chandrasekaran, CEO and MD of TCS, says, " According to our original plans, we were to recruit 30,000 people this fiscal, but we will close the current year with 50,000 persons added. For the next fiscal, we could hire as much as this year, if not more."

TCS follows a policy where it recruits 70% of its annual intake from campuses. The company recruited 24,000 persons in the fiscal ended March 2010.

Nasscom, the industry body for software companies , has laid down ground rules for campus recruitments under which member-companies are allowed to enter campus only at the beginning of the eighth semester of engineering. Going by recruitment data and growth projections, most tech majors began 2010 with conservative estimates of manpower required but gradually scaled up their targets as the year progressed.

At the beginning of this fiscal, Infosys had said it would recruit 30,000 but hiked the figure to 40,000 by September-end . The annual report of Infosys says in the previous year (2009-10 ), the company interviewed 61,000 people and made 26,200 job offers. As of March 2010, Infosys and its subsidiaries had an employee strength of approximately 1,13,800 employees, of which 1,06,900 are technology professionals, including trainees.

Shankar Srinivasan, chief people officer, Cognizant , told TOI, "In the last one year (from October 2009 to September 2010), we saw a net addition of over 27,500 employees. We continue to be active in campuses as well as in the lateral market (hiring of experienced professionals ). We ended the September 2010 quarter with approximately 95,600 employees globally."

On the assumption that Cognizant, Wipro and HCL Tech will recruit as much in the forthcoming recruitment season if not more than they did in 2009-10 , there are bound to be fireworks at engineering colleges . "We have never seen such large scale recruitment numbers. This is clearly the highest levels that I have seen in the past 10 years of campus," a campus recruitment watcher told TOI. Placement officers and institutional administrators in Tamil Nadu too are upbeat that IT majors such as TCS and Infosys have revised manpower projections for the coming year.

"This is fantastic news. I am excited at this (revised HR projections). This is something that must keep not just placement officers, students, job seekers and job providers happy but the nation as a whole as the job sector is looking up," says Jayakumar, former deputy registrar (placements and training) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras ). However, pay packages at campuses might not witness any significant uptick despite the surge in recruitments. An entry-level engineer is likely to get Rs 3 to Rs 3.25 lakh as a starting offer, while a post-grad engineer may get an additional Rs 20,000.

Likewise, professor S Gowri, registrar of Anna University of Technology , to which over 150 engineering colleges are affiliated in Chennai and surrounding regions, says while it is appreciable that the job market is looking up, much will depend on the kind of jobs they provide.

India is being rocked by a number of scams like 2G spectrum scam, Commonwealth Games scam and Adarsh society scam.It has brought the issue of corruption in focus.

In order to curb the menace of corruption, some students of Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad have decided to launch a helpline. A group of six IIM-A students proposed the idea of starting the helpline to former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and IIM-A professor Anil Gupta, which was appreciated by them.

“When the students mooted the idea of starting a corruption helpline, I thought that the idea was excellent in present context when the situation in the country is such that common people think that their work cannot be done without giving bribes,” Mr. Gupta said.

“At present, most people do not know where to complain against the corrupt officials and some of them even fear that if they complain their work will never be done. It is a very complex issue,” Gupta said.

“Groups of six students have started the ground work to start of the helpline. They have conducted a small survey on corruption. They have also visited various state agencies like Anti-Corruption Bureau, Regional Transport Office and other state government agencies like police,” he added.

“The helpline will assist those who just need counselling regarding their rights at various levels,” Mr. Gupta said.

However, for this we require the support of all the law-enforcing agencies. Talks are on with them and we will see how it works out,” Mr. Gupta said.

“We also have to look into complaints coming to us, scrutinise them and sort out to detect whether they are real or fabricated ones, so that upright government officers are not harassed due to this initiative,” he added.

Ravi Yadav, who is a part of the project, said, “In our proposed model, the complaints received shall be pre-screened by retired officials, before being fed into our online complaint database.”

“We are looking at integrating our corruption helpline with an agency like ACB so that database generated through this model helps create pressure on departments regarding which complaints are being reported,” Yadav said.

Apart from Yadav, five other students who have taken up the project are Udit Goyal, Saurabh Singh, Nikhil Bhaskar, Shantanu Sekhar and Daniel De Luna, a student from Italy.

Professor Gupta said, “I think this will be a first step in the right direction. It will build pressure on corrupt officials and also inspire people to come forward against the menace.”

IITs go hi-tech, other colleges may follow

Campus placements across the 7 older Indian Institutes of Technology got off to a colourful start.The highlight of this placement season was at the IIT Madras, where for the first time hiring went high-tech with the popular social networking site Facebook conducting interviews for short-listed students via Skype, the Internet voice protocol service.

Facebook has offered a huge compensation package (exact

amount withheld) for the job positions, which are US based.

Professor N Ramesh Babu, advisor (training and placement), IIT Madras said, " The interview for some of the 13 short-listed students will be conducted on Thursday too because of the time gap between the US and here. The HR managers are interviewing candidates sitting in the US."

Babu is both excited as well as caught in a dilemma of sorts as 250 recruiters comprising a good mix of old and new economy companies are already lined up in close slots till end-January 2011. "We are in a position where say after 20 days you may not have enough students for recruitment. We have not been able to give dates for some companies. Most companies which hire here, will also be going to the other IITs," he told The Times of India. As of now, 1066 students have registered for the campus placements and the option of a Dream Job' under which students get to choose the best of offers, is no longer there.

In the first phase of the campus placements which are scheduled to end on December 27 and the subsequent phase next month, as many as 8 to 10 companies have been allotted slots on each day. On the opening day, Google continued its hiring process beyond 10 pm.

Private Colleges

Meanwhile, even some private campuses in and around Chennai are witnessing a windfall during this placement season. At the SRM deemed university in Kattankulathur, the Information Technology major Tata Consultancy Services has offered placements to a whopping 1091 students. "This is the largest single campus recruitment for the TCS. Even Wipro has hired 406 students from all streams of engineering from our institution," said S Ganapathy, dean (placements), SRM deemed university.
